Not quite yet i still think its a bit early tbh. Traditionally decorations shouldnt go up until christamas eve but traditionally children also recieve a tangerine and two monkey nuts in an old sock rather than a playsation

    Bah humbug

Can we get a half-way option?

Came out the loft today, but they're not all up yet. Given the chance my mum would have had them up at the weekend!

my mum cant be arsed with the fiasco of getting the decorations out of the loft so she's bought some new ones

which will cause more hasell as they will have to go in the loft which will mean taking the old ones out anyway so theirs enough room for the new ones

probably put them up this weekend

as for christmas shopping thank god for the internet and all the gadget sites

I lost all interest in christmas last week when something happened in my life. Decorations are still in the loft. They can stop there for all i care

I don't know/care when the decorations are going to be put up... I don't see the point to be honest. Tinsel makes a mess of the nice carpet, and christmas lights are a waste of electricity, imo. There are quite a few houses near me that had all their decorations up halfway through November. Why? I don't know.. I don't even believe in Jesus, let alone Santa Claus.

I'm with theo for the most part on this one, although it is nice to see SOME tasteful decorations going up near christmas (i.e the week before) as i think it does cheer people up slightly, but the ones we have at work appeared mid november, i mean ffs all the holidays are gonna blend into one soon at this rate.

a week before xmas is fine, any earlyer is not!
coming home today i drove past a house that was compleatly covered in lights, it just looked stupid. one house has lights up all year round on the roof though they only on around xmas, not that bad thugh i wouldnt go up onto roof just for decorations each year...
though i think when the shop i work in starts playing CRAPPY xmas songs THREE WEEEEEKS AGO instead of the usuall crappy playlist, THAT IS JUST WRONG!!! btw this shop used to play a song called "young american" or something, if any ones heard it, 3 times in a row, then another song, then 2 times in a row, then another song, 3 times in a row, advert, other song, then 2 times in a row, etc.. you get my point, this shop has a CRAP PLAYLIST!! i almsot quit cos it was os fkn annoying
oh not only that , now they moved all the kids toys downstairs to my floor for the "impulse" buying when parents are queueing up at teh till child says "i want!!" and starts crying if they dont get, for about 30 mins cos are queus atm very long! this isnt bad thing untill you relise 90% of the toys are NIOSEY, so yes, i do hate xmas.

If i had my way it would be illegal to put up decorations till at least the 1st of Dec. BHS put theirs up in Oct. By the time Christmas does actually come, every 1 is borred with it!

Tis a family tradition in my house that the decor goes up exactly 2 weeks before then goes down exactly 2 weeks after!

4 weeks of festive cheer. Is it me of does the house look so much more empty and slightly depressing when all the decor is gone? Does any one else get this feeling???

    You have been warned!!
