Death of a President
Don't forget that Death of a President is on More4 at nine tonight. I don't normally have a habit of pointing out television shows, but this looks pretty good, and is from the same people that made The Day Britain Stopped.
If it's anything like The Day Britain Stopped, it should be decent - the realism is uncanny. And don't worry if you miss it the first time - it's shown four more times on More4 until Saturday 21st. Mike.

What did anybody think of this?
I enjoyed it and was gripped at the start but then it began to tail off in the second hour. I did like the twist at the end about the asassin (or is it assasin?) but then strayed back into the normal territory of just calling them warmongerers (both Bush and Cheney), but I suppose keeping the conspiracy theorists happy makes the world go round. The Cheney speech at the funeral was well put together and seemless since he has never made that speech (unless it was somewhere else). I felt sorry for the Secret Service guy, that must be a hard job!  Stealth Geek - And Proud! |

I enjoyed it. The premise was interesting, but I'm still stunned at how they did Cheney's speech at the end (and Bush's just before he was shot).
I don't get how they managed to do that - was it bits of other speechs put together, or just pure CGI? If it was, it was the best CGI I think I've ever seen, totally seamless. |

I watched some of it. I thought it dragged on quite a bit. I do however feel that the world would be alot better off without the man in it but thats my personal opinion.
