m8 dont get me wrong i dont have nothing against him but we just cant understand what he says. A presentation can easily be boring especially if u add MatLab and a bad speaker together
Besides that he went to his office to pick up some papers, half of us already left i am next. |

There is nothing remotely interesting about Matlab - and you have my sympathies.

I know what you mean, if he can't communicate, then it makes it very difficult to take anything in.
One of the modules I had at uni was delivered by a guy with a rediculous polish accent, so you had to really concentrate, just to pick out the individual words. Stringing them together to get any sense out of them was another level of difficulty altogether. Also his writing was equally bad, so that killed that avenue of communication. And on top of that the recommended text could only be got after a 3 month order (apart from the 4 copies in the library with huge reservation queues). I tried other books on the same subject, but nothing seemed to bear any relation to the bits that I could make out from the lectures... I don't know how but I just about scraped a pass, although it was my lowest mark at uni by quite a margin. |

yeah it is annoying i had degree level electronics i could not understand a word the lecturer was saying it was already difficult and he just made it harder.
You can do some pritty serious stuff in matlab like edit sounds lol but your right it is boring and annoying although i have used worse software before |

A lecturer may know his subject, but if he can't communicate it properly then he is useless. On of my lectures at uni was exactly like that, you spent more time concentrating on interpreting his very heavy accent than you did trying to understand the content. this was reflected in the exam results at the end of the year

I really don’t wanna offend anyone he is obviously a bright person and I have no doubt he would kick my IQ anytime.
Still doesn’t change the fact that we don’t get most of what he says… what impress me the most is that he been around this uni for more than 5 years. |

I thought MATLAB was boring but was good for when plotting stuff which
could be displayed as charts. Its useful for electronics that way. Other than that though not sure why else you would wasnt to use it. Dedham dedham

I have 2 lecturers of C++ one is not that bright, he normally stays quiet and let the other do all the work. Today he was alone so the lecture was on his shoulders didnt take him long to be in deep...
A direct entry guy asked him few questions, he managed pretty well till he decided to give a simple example of a program. He started to say its really important to get the syntax right or u will get a error, he decided his example program would output this text " Welcome Class " Took him 10m to write the tiny code and in the end all happy about himself he run the program... didnt work. During the 5m he took checked the code he changed the statements to capitals and even changed the spelling. In the end he asked us what was wrong... we told him he needed to add a library!!!Best thing that passed thru his mind to say was “ it also happens to Bill Gates ” |

he may have struggled with some basic c++, but I bet he could type properly,
using the phrase "you" instead of "u" constantly and "through" instead of "thru".... If your this mega coder, quit uni and get a job as its obviously all bellow you, or better still - you give the lecture. It will be interesting when you start work and all the guys with more experience are laughing at you.
It is Inevitable.....
