    Uni Life

Now this has been a question that has puzzled me for, oh, about 20 minutes. The same 20 minutes I have been attempting to get to sleep.

Why is it, at Uni, that random (truly random, we have no idea who they are) people decide to invade your flat, the one day you *actually* want some sleep?

Now don't get me wrong, (and don't put me down as a party pooper) I love meeting random new people as much as the next guy, but why invade our flat at 2am? Any other day I would love to meet you, perhaps talk to you, might even find a friend. But why at 2am?!?!

A mate of mine, decent enough bloke, has got a rugby match tomorrow. He has gotta get up in less than 3 hours, is that actually fair to him ? (they're not exactly being quiet either). I whole heartedly sign up to the uni lifestyle, but this is one thing that bugs the hell out of me.

Thank goodness for Pendulum & Sound Isolating Headphones

Sorry for the rant, thought I'd get it off my chest

    Kick them out ?
    Unhelpful posts:
    • Replying with "This" to someone else's post
    • When a product has a known flaw that's posted about all over the web, posting "But mine works fine guys"
    • Asking a question that's been covered many times - use the forum search first

I'm not in uni but I kinda know what you mean. A "mate" of mine (the bassist in my band... selffish, arrogant, righteus **** that he is... none of those words are spelled right either) literaly lived at my house for over 2 months. Even after I got rid of him he still turns up randomly every few days.
*finishes rant talking to thin air*

    I'm sorry about my spelling.
    With love and many thanks,

    Melons

Now that would be far too logical, especially as my pissed housemates seem to want to invite them in

Anyhow, after much noise, (from both parties, I admit) they have finally gone, at least the time spent listening to pendulum wasn't wasted

Anyone else had this happen to them?

I'm currently on a gap year in the middle of my degree. I actually had someone visit a my mate a couple of weeks ago from 10:30-01:30 whilst he was staying at my place. Would have been fine except my mate was actually staying in my room at the time. So they just sat there merrily chatting and laughing away whilst I was trying to get to sleep in the same room so I could get up @6 for work.
I don't think I ever really had that problem at uni, I could never resist going with the guys if they went out.

I did however get very pissed off with Pro Evo!
