    Hexus.fashion?

Tbh, I've never bothered too much about my self-image, but I've always dressed smart etc - but wasn't heavily into brand names etc. I guess the ladies are more familiar with this stuff but recently I was following "Nip/Tuck" and Christian Troy's lifestyle made me think...."hmm, why not?"

Anyways, 'tis the season to be jolly, so I went out n' picked up a seamaster and was looking for an appropriate forum underwhich I could discuss this technical/fashionable item and realised that there really isn't a place for such discussion...

Would a Hexus.fashion be a nice idea then? (under the lifestyle bit)

Even with my absurd collection of shirts, I doubt I'd post in it....and what's a seamaster anyway? An Omega? Nice one.

Christian Troy has some beautiful suits....

I think you'd be better off starting relevant threads under the general, or lifestyle forums.

ibm, aye tell me about it. I like the deep marony, dark wine red combo with black suit he wears quite a bit. One of my professors at Uni wore something similar once - looked good.

Thanks for the tip! Aye, an Omega.

Watch out Mike, the metrosexual label's heading your way (once the fashion incapable get out of bed, slip on their - one of two - tshirts, dirty jeans, and white trainers)...

I get my suits made in Indonesia when I'm over visiting the inlaws. The tailors are great, and they get all their fabrics from Givenchy, Armani, Pierre Cardin etc.

I always liked the omega's...very smooth looking, but I got a GMT Master II for a wedding gift, and I can't justify getting another watch after that...

haha. Since I'm over weight, all my clothes are tailored in Singapore, from shirts (long/short sleeve) to longs, jeans and suits.

The tailoring is fantastic (as you know) and am hoping to make another trip over sometime in January, as I deffo need quite a few new shirts sorted out.

black suits are only good for funerals... I have one and never wear it, I find that navy blues and varying greys look best around the work place

Naw, a black suit with the right shirt and tie can really stand out. 'Course, I still prefer navy and gray for general every day usage, but blacks got a lot of style...

Mike....I was just across in Singapore, but didn't get a chance to visit a tailor. I used to get stuff made in Hong Kong, but the quality has deteriorated the last couple of years.

agreed. I don't even own any trousers apart from jeans! And one pair of white trainers that do for all occasions!

To get an avatar requires you make 500 sensible posts.....yet still people ask so why do I even bother having this here!

Next time you are there, check out CYC which I where I get all my shirts done. The collars are excellent and they will run close to $100-150 a shirt (more if long sleeve), but less for 'normal' people

And here was me thinking that 'joy' and 'goth' were two words never used in the same sentence.

Mike ... thanks for that, don't know when I'm going to be across next, but I've got friends over there who'll be happy to have a recommendation.

I do fashion, bit of a label whore. I've paid £90 for a tshirt and £45 for a scarf. Got a right earfull for buying the scarf.

Needs enough people interested though, no point if everyone else is a scruff with ripped jeans.

Indeed you are. My first suit didnt cost me 90 quid (admittedly it was from next on one of the super sale days but still).

THink the most ive ever paid for a single non suit item of clothing is about 70 quid on trainers back in the day when i used to care about having shoes with some ckaters name on them.

If anyone knows of anywhere that sells decent slim fit shirts though, im open to suggestions, i need a 16inch neck, which usually equates to about a 44/6 chest, when im actually nearer 38/40, resulting in me looking like alladin.

It does seem that quite a few people do enjoy 'fashion', and I think it might be nice to have a dedicated forum towards it. I believe more in dressing smart rather than looking sloppy - but I can't say the same for my hair.

I've let it grow quite a bit, and just shaved the sides off yesterday, kind like having it a bit long/curly, but I think I'll go for a haircut tomorrow.
