how can i make the 'details' view-mode the default?
is there a way of making the 'details' view-mode to be the default view in win XP ?
as it is now, windows decides and chooses which view i should be using (from thumbnails, tiles, icons, list, details) but i would really like to set it so it always shows 'details' thanx! |

Go into a folder. Doesn't matter which one.
Set the view to 'Details', then go Tools>Folder Options>View Tab>Apply To All Folders. And all folders throughout Windows will display as that selected view 
 Consoles I Own:

any folders that will be used for storing pictures:
right click on folder>properties>customize> change "What kind of folder do you want" to pictures(many files)
