Yeah I know that Matt, but I don't understand "postal administration" bit. It doesn't make sense in Japanese. What information does he need apart from postal detail?

Thanks Matt and sorry, I understood now I'll get in touch with the retailer in Japan. I'll probably need another English/Japanese dictionary in order to solve this problem.lol

Yay, I got my dictionary in the end. I got another reply from another royal mail officer today and this time he kindly gave me the depot address(typical) so I took a plunge and drove to that place. It was Japanese retailer's mistake who put the wrong house number in the recipient address That's why I didn't recieve any notification from the custom, bah. Anyway I got it now and I'm very happy. Thanks again for all your help.

WTF So what should I do? It seems it's been held at London North West Depot but where is this place located and who should I contact first? Can I just drive into that place and pay the charge and pick the thing up? Also does anyone have rough idea how much the charges will be, the dictionary itself is about 18000yen which is about 80quid. Thanks for your assistance.
    Hi notsobig,
Happy to hear your problem was resolved. I have exactly the same problem and I wonder if you can let me know the address and telephone number of "London North West Depot"and also please let me know whether you were charged for that or not.
I need to receive my camcorder asap, so your quick response will be appreciated.

If you want a quick reply on this one, send notsobig a personal message (click on his name, then select 'send a private message') he's much more likely to read that than a resurrected six month old thread....

Sorry but I don't think I have a phone number but the depot was in Park Royal( forgot exact location but let me check) I had to drive long way And yes I was charged about 25quid for the custom. Thing is Japanese sender made a mess and wrote wrong address on the parcel therefore the letter from the custom also went to the wrong place! You'll probably asked to show them ID when you recieve your stuff off depot so just make sure you take it with you. Now I'll see if I can find the address of the depot.... will be back in an hour or so.

Was the dictionary in book form or digital form? (CD/DvD) as books are 0% vat & tax. Plus seeing as it came via Parcelforce they overcharged me once on tax, they mistook the package coming from the states when it had actually come from Japan. (big difference by all accounts)

    I got one from here
    http://www.himejiya.net/jisyosougoutop.html
PW-M800 is the one I bought. It was 16800yen including postage and packing. Even with the custom added to it, it was still cheaper than buying similar dictionary in this country. Cheapest one I could find here was like 150quid.

  14. Received thanks from:
