So what is Great about Britain?

Over the last couple of weeks there have been a few stories that make wonder: What do people around the world think about the people of Great Britain? Programs on channel 4, looters on the beach, prisons full ... I’m even considering changing citizenship.

Instead of complaining about all the bad things, I want to be positive: So what is Great about Britain?

    A starter: Free museums.

    No. 2: Economy

No. 3: As of yet, we have not been beaten by the French. (except in sports which doesn't count)

Soooooooooo... you are forming an opinion of the UK using Jade Goody, some people nicking bags of nappies from a freak shiping accident, and the Labour government. Not suprising you reckon its all going down the tubes then.

You could be French mate. Then you'd live in country where nutters like Jean-Marie Le Pen are serious candidates for the top job, and its normal to eat amphibians, as well as the occasional horse.

    Think yourself lucky.

The best thing about Britain is you have a enough time to turn off the TV realize it's all BS and go on with your life.

I haven't looked into it too much, but I do qualify for Irish citizenship.

I don't necessarily think it's all going down the pan, I was just wondering if someone from outside G.B. were to pass a few comments about Jade and looters etc how could I respond... If I meet a French person I'll try and avoid the at least I don't 'eat amphibians, as well as the occasional horse.' responce I was looking to be positive

My neighbour's from denmark and he said they have 120% car tax. Not sure quite what the figure means but he said he had a citroen AX or something along those lines (About £800 here), when he sold that in denmark and moved over here he bought a nearly new saab 95 aero estate (Thats a turbo's 250bhp rocket!) for the same money as he got when he sold his citroen over there.

That sentence is terribly worded but its not easy to put into one sentence!
