No mention of the retarded "move forward stops functioning until you release forward and then press it again" bug....

No mention of fixes to entering servers.

No mention of join as a party returning.

No mention of game crashes in jets.

Pretty unhappy customer if none of those are fixed........

    Re: Battlefield 3

My mate told me about this "pay-to-win" feature coming in BF3, I replied saying I hoped it was a SICK JOKE. But then, EA are involved, they'll do anything in their power to get their greedy bastard hands on more money!!!

I am so sick of this, good games getting ruined by greed.

    Re: Battlefield 3

The patch reminders me of what Blizzard did (does?) when I played World of Warcraft. They would say a huge patch was coming and you'd find it was 90% just balance changes that they explained in detail for everything to give the impression it was a big patch. If you took out the balance change and looked at the bug fixes and new content its the same thing as we have here for the BF3 patch - not much.

Still.. its a good game even with these issues that will remain after the patch.

I've only played about 6 hours of the game, I'm on lvl 7 now, and its definitely tough. Not really sure about how I feel about regarding these unlocks though.

    Re: Battlefield 3

Are the BF3 unlocks pretty powerful then? It took a while to unlock them in BF2, and buying the expansion pack speeded them up, but all of the pro players used to use the original weapons anyway.

It's a mixed bag with the patch so far tbh... Tanks are much less effective!! Hardly any armour at all and repair tools take a lot longer.

Chopper vs Chopper dog fights are going to be over much more quickly.

    Guns are absolutely ruined. RUINED!

I used to stick to the AEK-971 in BC2, it was by far the best with iron sights. In BF3 you can still do well with stock guns but i think there is a lot of unlockables which you can kick some serious ass with once you get used to them. The M416 for example is awesome, the AEK is an unlockable and is awesome, the enfield is another popular unlockable, FAMAS. Snipers are the biggest area where you need to progress, the stock sniper rifle is utter garbage.

The M416 for example is awesome, the AEK is an unlockable and is awesome, the enfield is another popular unlockable, FAMAS. Disappointing, il check it out over the weekend but i really hope they haven't ruined it.
It does seem more balanced, but EVERYONE is using LMGs now..

Choppers are far easier to fly now too, much more responsive controls.

Just gonna take time to adjust.
