    Change stuff?

There is a customiser for your online avatar. You can choose from a lot of the chapters, plus individually change every piece of armour and the colouring on it. You have to unlock it all by levelling though.....according to THQ there are 1.8billion combinations and permutations for your "look"

From lvl4 you can create your own class as well, a la call of duty, choosing weapons, perks etc

Also, you can copy the loadout of the person who killed you......the one redeeming feature of the MP so far.

Oh the Game thing you enquired about earlier, there are rumours Game have locked down an exclusive deal for the UK so the game won't hit steam for a while after release but you can buy it retail for PC. Game denied it but no one ever got to the bottom of the claims so no idea why it's been locked out of pre-orders on the digital front for the UK. There are obvious ways to get around the geo-location with proxy services but Steam may drop the ban hammer if they deem it appropriate xD

GAME made a statement saying it was untrue but was worded in a way that left you thinking "while not exactly true, the allegations were in the right ballpark..."

Re: Gears of Warhammer (Space Marine)

Well I finally got around to installing this after downloading it in the 40k sale on steam.

got stuck at one point (on easy) on the train, trying to shoot down the gunship with the plasma gun, I didn't realise you could pull it off the turret and carry it.
I'm pretty sure that gunship is invulnerable to the plasma while it's still mounted which is a bit of a because it wasn't obvious to me at first and I spent many tries trying to kill the damb thing.

overall it looks great, some really lovely environments, first time I saw the titan I spent a few minutes just looking at it.
game play is an interesting mix of melee and shooting, I like the idea of finishing moves to regen your health, however I don't like the separate stun before finisher, melee combat is too hectic and ontop of that you still get damaged during the finish animation makes matters worse.
I've also got an issue with the nobs, while you need more than hords of orcs they also badly need a health indicator, because you've got to beat them down before you can stun them to do a finishing move, but you don't know how much is enough, how much is not enough and how much is too much.
Which generally ends in me hammering them too much and just killing them, but as they tend to be the last mob standing and being capable of dishing out damage, it leaves me wounded and with no mobs left to do finishing moves on to regen.

Overall I think the keyboard+mouse controls are a bit clunky, it does shooting well and melee well but it's too much when combined.
