I would say that it is odd - but only because thats a wonderfully generous gesture. And lets face it, if it was an 0870 number you would only be looking for geo-alternatives to call anyway (well, I would). Sure it will be fine. You could get them to confirm the details of the original order just incase, but cant see it being a problem. Respect to them if its all fine

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Yeah i think thats what has thrown me , the company has constantly cancelled any pricing errors which are quite frequent and it was reducing my faith in them and then this happened and boom it seems abit to good to be true , of course it should have gone through smoothly anyways but i certainly appreciate their efforts (if it is in deed true!).

I gave them a call but there was no answer, couldnt really call earlier so its my own fault but i will drop them a call tomorrow mid day as if they have sent it i should receive it then . Cant wait!

If all goes well then bee have my 100% faith in preorders, just not pricing errors .

I can only hope that I am able to get a collectors edition tonight, got let down by game and have had no luck pre ordering anywhere else, they always seemed to run out in mins, however I was told by the local games store that they have a few copys coming in that haven't been pre-ordered, and they will let them go on a first come first serve basis, so I might be lucky

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Managed to get the collectors edition
Somehow the poor guy who pre-ordered it had thought it would be £55-60 and had to let his pre-order go as he didn't have enough to get it, they did give him a t-shirt and a couple of posters with his standard edition though, so he seemed happy enough.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

I'm holding off. I'd love it but I need to get DIY finished so I can put the house on the market just after Easter. I just know if I do get it I won't get anything done for weeks. I also expect the price to drop 30-40% in a month or so if its anything like ME2 which I preordered....

already checked google, no hits .. However, I now have Mass effect 3 in my possession! Im pretty confident its now legit as obviously ive received ME3 and ive checked my bank, there is no payment and the online is always up to date (it shows the payment i made to play for a new microsd card, at 2am today!).

Will give them a bell now to sort it out though .
Sucks that i havent finished ME2 in the way i wanted to (i.e save the crew) and ive got no time to really play it, to many deadlines .

EDIT: Bit annoyed to say the least, still on 10Mb internet from virgin till my mate sorts out the mates rate deal in a week or two... Origin is being a complete plonker, it requests i activate the game when i run the cd, fair enough i thought so i enter my key and then it accepts it and brings me to the agree to install X amount and agree to the EULA, done that and then it says the cdkey has already been used.... Im like ok wtf, i check origin and there it is ME3 activated, but its refusing to install from disc because it thinks the cdkey has already been used and it has because the program already used it ffs, WHY IS SOMETHING SO SIMPLE SO HARD FOR BIG COMPANIES TO SORT OUT?! I bought a retail disc, i dont want to fricking download 10GB! .

Guess thats the end of my procrastination and avoidance of doing uni work...

if you want a second opinion, bee.com's website says they're Preston-based and the code you quoted is the dialling code for Preston, so it sounds OK to me

    Re: Mass Effect 3

    So I've completed this.

I completed both previous titles and I have to say I am a happy gamer, however I was a little disappointed with the ending but this is a personal view and I am sure many will disagree, but none the less it has been a great game and it fulfilled everything I was expecting and answered all the questions I had.

I didn't load my ME2 save file, but I think next time round I will. The game play hasn't really changed much, however the tactical approach seems to have improved. I believe there is less worlds to explore in this release which is a little disappointing, the focus definitely seems to be on the main story so I imagine most of the game space was saved for that which makes sense.

I might try doing the ending again taking different options to see what effects that has. I do thoroughly recommend this to anyone intent on playing this after completed previous titles. I'd give it a 9/10.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Sorry, youve finished it in like 8 hours? Did you do anything besides the main story!? 8 hours is crap if you did everything!
