    Re: Mass Effect 3

i really dont understand this... I recall bioware saying that SP will be kept seperate to the multiplayer... bioware is pushing it to far if they essentially force you to play MP to change the ending(still dont know the ending mind!).

Ugh i really want to know if its important if you destroyed the base or not... i decided not to before, obviously it should have a big impact but i wonder if we could defeat the reapers without it. lol

Bioware should have been upfront about this.
I'd rather know myself, to improve the experience IMHO, but I know some people prefer to play games blind regardless. But then you wouldn't read a thread based on the game if you didn't want to know anything about it I suppose...

You can,but again your effective readiness level is very important it seems.

It is important people know this as Bioware have not been clear about it at all. Most people would think, say for example, playing to get the highest Paragon level, through all 3 games and would be enough to give the best Paragon ending. However, this is NOT the case as you need to play the MP part too and work out how much you need to increase your effective readiness level multiplier! I really hope a hack is released to change this but it would not surprise me if you get banned from the SP game. Playing a hacked MP server even by mistake can lock out the SP game too.

    The Cake is a Lie.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

    Bad times .

Bioware is becoming plagued by EA, it seems even the best arent immune to its power. Cant even install via disc, multiplayer has now been made pretty substantial to the SP experience when it wasnt meant to be, day one DLC that was already put in the game makes me side to the fact it WAS cut from the game because it takes weeks to print all the copies of the games... how can it appear preinstalled when it wasnt meant to be finished at the same time?.

Ugh bioware is pushing their luck now... i also hope that there is a hack to ignore MP, im happy for them to implement the multiplayer side but when i was looking at it they were saying it was made by a different team, and is totally separate from the SP experience, great i thought but clearly they have gone back on their word .

Good cat, im glad i can win without it but still peed off about the above! Another question, is it important to save your crew? I am going to replay the end saves of my ME2 to save the crew when i get time, just wondering if it can actually do anything in me3?

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Even the best ending, it seems, sucks to a degree too, though less than the other ones according to many people, although some people still found the normal endings OK,hence YMMV!!

Good I know all this now as I can wait a few more months for the game to drop in price. Its a shame since I liked ME1 and ME2.

Bioware was doomed to unethical behaviour the millisecond they were assimilated by EA. They should have stayed independent.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Bioware now say you can still get the best ending in SP,but it seems as liable in reality as keeping a chocolate kettle on boil. The problem is that you need an effective Readiness level of 5000 which is not doable in the SP game alone.

    [QUOTE=CAT-THE-FIFTH;2352001]Its simple:

1.)It all hinges on whether you save the Collector base or not
2.)It gives you two different versions of the 8 possible endings, which branch from that point in ME2

So can I get the "best" ending having destroyed the base? Or is that now off-limits? I don't want to google, it's a spoiler minefield out there!

You can get the best ending but like I said it also depends on your effective Readiness level too.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Oh my god, FFS why cant they stop doing this!? I dont want to be thinking... OMG need to play ME multiplayer so i can keep my readiness rating high so i can finish the single player in the next few days.

A major attraction to SP games for me is that i can pick up and play whenever and for however long I want to, bioware are peeing me off .

    Re: Mass Effect 3

On my first playthrough of ME2, I spread it over a few months, just playing an hour or two here and there, as I like to do with good games. This is essentially forcing you to play continuously if you want a half-decent ending...

Any news on the Bioware forums?

Bioware have a tendency to delete threads which they don't like and that is usually after some of the Bioware employees have had a go at posters.

    Re: Mass Effect 3

Loads of threads about users being annoyed about ME3 have been deleted from the BSN and the same thing happened with DA2.
