Are you guys having the same problems as me and half the community? ie constant Crashes to the desktop mid game. Will sometimes work for 30mins or an hr, or sometimes 10 seconds. Happens with all gfx settings and on EA official servers or rented ones

grr yet another example of how EA just really cba to test their games properly. Sure it works fine in single player mode or LAN mode, but for online tis fubared.

I was close to stopping buying EA games after they decided to stop supporting CnC generals - meaning that it is now unplayable online due to the amount of cheaters on the generals online system. This latest display of total disregard for their customers has convinced me, no more EA for me.

What's worse is that they are yet to officially acknowledge the problem, and then game is still on sale.

bleh you get the picture. Aside from that, amazing game, demo still works well and single players fun still

These crashes, are they associated with random squeeky and distorted noises? My demo's been doing this but it may be due to sound card over heating with the very hot weather.

I heard that the demo didn't have joystick compat, I got a sidewinder force feedback 2 around somewhere, still useful then.

I got a sidewinder force feedback jstick, the old gameport one and it doesn't work.

    From the readme.. "- JOYSTICKS
Battlefield 2 does not support using a joystick connected to
your computer via a joystick port built-in to your sound card.
We recommend you use a joystick that connects to your computer
    via a USB port."

Oh well, was looking for a new jstick anyway as this big old one is great but takes up a bit too much desk space.

Edit: well that readme is crap as i just tried the stick in the gameport and it works fine Now where did i park that jet...
