Re: 8800gt Driver Problems Same, no 3dMark06, Crysis, Windows performance tool, nTune, anything 3D, videos and DVDs. I'm sure lots more generates the error, funnily enough Quakeworld still plays. Guess it's back to 2fort5 until new drivers.

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems I've posted this problem over at NVidia forums in the hope it will pick up some others with the same issue and hopefully a solution. forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=50002

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems The 169.02 drivers on nvidias site are now WHQL'd, so you shouldn't find any major issues with them. My 8800GT is sat under my desk right now. Once I get home I'll install it and post back on driver results.

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems After reading this, I think it might be that particular brand of the card, perhaps....Maybe the new drivers will solve the problem. --2Cold Scorpio - Guildcom.us "We'll build a perfect beast with the knowledge that they seek; if it takes 10,000 years, we never will retreat!" --Prophecy, Iced Earth ![]()

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems My Inno3d card is working fine under Vista 32bit using 169.02 WHQL drivers. My card idles at 55c Looks like it might be a gainward issue... Last edited by s_kinton; 01-11-2007 at 05:58 PM..

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems Have now tried this graphics card in another computer and have tried all three drivers available supporting the 8800GT. I am now going to return it to the supplier and get another brand. BFG or XFX maybe. This card is working for others, there is a glowing review on fudzilla of the Gainward specifically. As this NVLDDMKM error seems to be an old issue going back years with nvidia cards I don't want to be part of the masses online waiting for new drivers in the vain hope of it fixing this issue. I'll be back here if my next card does not work.

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems I get similar errors on my ASUS card today.. Only that I dont go out.. my system just crashes into BSOD.. Screen filled with blue riffs, then crash.. then 2 minutes later.. BSOD.. goner.. Restarts then its all fine again.. using the WHQL 169.02 now.. very very dissapointed.. EDIT: I think I might have solved the issue.. and it might be Gainward's problem as when I uninstalled Expertools (the one that controls my OC), things 'seems' to go back to normal.. must play longer to be sure.. My XPS 16 = fail Good that it RATs into my lab's 1024 node cluster.. Last edited by sawyen; 03-11-2007 at 11:31 AM..

Re: 8800gt Driver Problems Are you getting a replacement card or another brand of 8800GT? Mine has been sent back but all other 8800GT are out of stock, I wanted to let you know my succes or failure with a different manufacturer. I'm now waiting a month for the rumoured 8800GT with 1Gb RAM.
