    Dell 755 - Is 3 Monitors Possible Using On-Board

I have a Dell 755 small form factor desktop. I have installed a dual head graphics card so that I can have two displays. It might be a bit greedy but is it possible to have 3 displays by using two connected to the dual head PCI-E card, and having one connected to the integrated on-board adaptor.

The on board seems to have disabled itself and doesnt even show up in dev manager, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone knew a tweek.

I had the same issue on my work Dell computer. With a graphics card in the onboard graphics disables it. I had a look in the bios and there was no way to have them both turned on. Have a look at your bios settings just in case, you might get lucky.

Not aware of any tweaks for this I'm afraid :-)
If you want triple screens than you will have to buy a dedicated external unit.

Or a PCI graphics card maybe? Far better than an external unit

Re: Dell 755 - Is 3 Monitors Possible Using On-Board

    Hi

I'm in the same boat with a Dell Optiplex 755 Small Form Factor machine but just require 2 external displays. Can you let me know the make and model of the card you bought for the machine so we can set this up?

    Cheers

Re: Dell 755 - Is 3 Monitors Possible Using On-Board

The SFF (not USFF) Optiplex 755 should take a low profile PCI-E graphics card. That being the case, I'd recommend a similar card to the one I used to upgrade two prior model Optiplex SFFs - I used Matrox P650 Low Profiles, but the P690 should work at least as well - see http://www.dabs4work.com/productview...Quicklinx=53JK
