    Bang per buck challenge!

    Divide your 3dmark2001 score by the price in £ of your GFX card....what do you get?

    I get 278, and fancy that is a good score!

    (on air cooling...no fancy extras...etc...)

    You want PC bargains?....I hunt the links out for you! Come and see my site.

    your goin to win cos u got a dirt cheap card that does great performance

    i reckon best performance would be something like a ti4400 128mb - they go second hand on forums now for 40ish quid, and you can still get over 12k with a half decent system

    score / price = bang per buck

    i.e the low the price - the higher the bang

    i.e, higher the number, the better the value

    Just remember, with 3DMark01, it's more of an overall system score, rather than graphic card specific. If you want to really find out whether you're getting bang for your buck, do it with 3DMark03.

    Previous System
    ||3DMark01 - 18,533|3DMark03 - 6,501|Aqua Mark 3 - 43,912|[AthonXP 2500+@ 2.4Ghz - 12*200, Radeon 9800SE (unlocked) 440/369]||

    Current System
    ||3DMark01 - 30,949|3DMark03 - 18,122|3DMark05 - 8,483|3DMark06 - 4,222|||

    I think you may have done that the wrong way round.....

    3DMark2001 = bpb
    £price

    You need to factor in the amount of time you used the card for.

    I paid around 240 quid for my 9700pro last may and i am still very pleased with it. However recently you could get the 9800pro for 135. So obviously its a good deal and is a lot of bpb, but what about the 9 months I blissfully used my card for?
