    High pitch from monitor

My Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 710 has started making a really high pitched noise after being on for more than 10min, and goes away when I switch it off. The picture is perfect and it's hooked up to a Belkin KVM. Any ideas what's causing this or will my CRT suddenly blow one day?

http://repairfaq.ece.drexel.edu/REPA...ml#MONFAQC_014 - have a look there. Sorry I can't be more specific but I've noticed similar on my brother's Dell P991 Trinitron 19" CRT and it went away after a couple of days.

I had a 17" that did that for ages which drove me mad - especially as I was the onlly one who could hear it so I must have super senstive hearing. You could try changing the refresh rate of the screen and see if that helps - it worked with me (100Hz down to 85Hz cured it and I didn't notice any extra flicker).

I now have an LCD screen so it's not longer an issue
