TFT Monitor Problem
Hi peeps
I've got a brand new Samsung TFT monitor and I'm pulling my hair to understand what's wrong with it. - Connected it to my PC using the VGA port. - Booted the PC (screen stays blank) - In the right-hand corner of the screen, a blue box appears and it shows that the monitor is checking the analog/digital connection. - monitor goes back to blank and finally switches off. I decide to connect my older monitor. Changed the resolution to 800x600 and rebooted the PC (with the new 19" TFT connected). - the monitor stays blank. - the monitor goes into it's probing process - the monitor shows a message "Not an optimised resolution. 1280x1024x60Hz recommended" - the monitor goes blank ![]() Tried the digital connection as well. No go as well ![]() At a moment, I thought that the windows resolution should be set to 1280x1024x60 before booting the PC. That's what I also tried to find out the same problem as described above. It's the first time that I spend so much time dealing with a monitor :/ Now, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or not?! I guess not, since a monitor should work straight out of the box Any help appreciated

Left it there for them to try out, but I feel that the soft written on the TFT chips must have gone wrong or summat

Returned the monitor and they don't know what's wrong with it. They don't have any in stock so I gotta wait. No worries since I had it for demo purposes ![]() But, it's the first time that I see a brand new monitor not working straight out of the box
