    Graphics cards - is the crazy season open ?

    Well... we've seen 2 x GPU's on 1 card and people wondered if a card that has 2 GPU's could be upgraded, well they now can thanks to those crazy R&D folks @ MSI ;

MSI’s Geminium Go also supports scalable link interface (SLI) multi-GPU technology developed by Nvidia Corp. thus potentially allowing to install up to two high-performance mobile graphics chips.

    ... what are they going to think of next I wonder ?

    Geminium-Go?

    Sounds like a new cream for people to rub onto unsightly rashes. Or maybe any number of socially compromising itches.

    Fresh from the people who brought you Cillit-Bang, clearly....

    Ahem.

    Those slots are going to confuse a few people as they look a bit like PCMCIA.

    Expect calls asking why's my wireless card not working with my graphics card if this gets released

    It's all a question of "Will I be able to get hold of the upgrade MXM units" and will it be more expensive than a complete new card. Looks good though.

    Its a good idea in principle but from the work I have been doing over the last 2 weeks, I have come to the conclusion that multi-GPU systems currently do not work properly in MOST cases, which for me makes this yet another useless product I could never recomend to anyone.

    Its crap to be honest. Those mobile chips cost a fortune so how MSI can ever say it'll be cost effective I don't know

    This was one of their usual crazy CES features

    Check my project <<| Black3D |>>
