Slightly off topic, but a 7950 beats a gtx 580:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...php?t=18366789
so nVidia's next gen cards better be an improvement!
But no BF3 stats. We've seen that the 7970 performs badly in BF3, I would expect the same for the 7950.
I'll be waiting to see what Kepler brings to the table.
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
random. Presumably they're not saying Nvidia paid them to do that are they? I mean that would be silly. Who'd slate a product on a forum just for some cash? Btw AMD's card is rubbish - I've eaten 10 and they all gave me indigestion and one of them cut my tounge, not to mention the other end when the crossfire bridge came out sideways...
First Nvidia 28NM GPUs spotted:

It seems they are mobile GPUs and are basically 28NM Fermi GPUs.
Some more rumours:

I don't understand - Ageia hardware is just the CUDA cores.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Its been going on for a while. I mod on another forum and we have a list of IP's that we have banned. Interestingly one member crossed linked with another forum mod and the same people had infiltrated that site. Apparently a group are actively seeking forum members that are "passionate about their products" and this group target other members.
Sad times.
Even more rumours:

Basically it is mentioned that there is dedicated PhysX hardware and that the GK104 should be around 10% to 20% slower than Tahiti. If this is in comparison to an HD7970 it would mean around the same speed as an HD7950 although the Tahiti SKU is not mentioned. It seems the benchmarks shown which showed the GK104 being much faster than an HD7970 were done by Nvidia.
TBH,even a GTX580 can beat an HD7970 in certain cases by quite a large amount:

Your guess is as good as mine!
Basically what is said in the article is this:
1.)Nvidia has a dedicated PhysX unit or is allocating more resources in the GPU to PhysX
2.)Certain games will take advantage of these optimisations and offer performance better than an HD7970
3.)However,in most other games it is slower than Tahiti. This either means performance around HD7950 level or lower.
You've misunderstood the article. It says there isn't likely to be dedicated PhysX hardware at all, but the marketeers will try to spin it as having it. Without code in games to specifically target (generic shader) accelerated APIs Charlie thinks gk104 is going to suck quite badly, even loosing to AMD's mid range cards (that's the 7870 and 7850, not the 7950).
