I got a Hydrocool WC system which you can get GPU blocks for so I'm tempted to give that a try. You're watercooled already I think ?

Did you do Gigabyte followed by Sapphire BIOS?

There is a readme with the pack that has the commands / switches.

Yea I did the Gigabyte bios followed by the Sapphire bios, it gave me higher clocks and I think made it stable. TBH I didnt really test before hand as I was at work.

When the card arrived I didnt even bother with windows, booted straight into dos, backed up the bios, flashed with gigabyte bios. Booted into windows, checked the pipes were enabled and then closed down and took the card out.

I have read those do work with the softmod, XtremeSystems forum have success stories for the PowerColour cards.

I installed SP2 when I was testing my 6800U but reinstalled for the X800 and still on SP1, it works fine. The max core OC crashed the comp at 560mhz... booo.

I can't get it flash with that BIOS. Gigabyte BIOS works and running 16 pipes

Just thought I'd add to your success rate statistic and let you know that my Sapphire x800 VIVO is now running with 16 pipes perfectly stable with the gigabyte bios in the bios pack linked in this thread. It is running perfectly stable at the default 520/560 XT speeds as well which I'm really happy about. I will let it burn in for a while at this speed and run 3d mark later on tonight.

Is there anyone here who thinks that the changing to the xt bios from ati is a bad idea considering it is stable right now?

Well the not so good news is that after I flashed to the ati xt bios from the gigabyte bios it stays stable at stock XT speeds for while BUT as the card heats up artifacts do show and they KEEP showing up until I bring it back down to 500/500. Is there a newer bios than the one posted in this thread from ATI?

I'm just hoping it could be bios related when it probably isn't. Maybe I should just be happy and

The reality is that this frickin card just didn't pass the xt core/mem tests and got put in the pro batch
