    FPS issues with 670

    Hi there,

Things were going smoothly with my new GTX 670 (apart from god damn fan noise) when suddenly I was getting frame rate issues in League of Legends - not a hard game to run. I had Vsync on, but frames were often dropping below 60 - it wasn't consant but very irregular. I have a screen of a log:

It would appear frames drop as usage drop - why is this? This has never been happening until today and I didn't change a single setting! Can someone help? I'm downloading the new beta drivers now to see if it helps. There are no overclocks on the card (I took them off when the problem started, but it persists). Please help!

I think it may be to do with random GPU activity. This is the log while idling (as you can see in screen):

There is a known GPU stuttering issue with the GTX670 and GTX680. This issue has been around for months AFAIK.

Supposedly, the latest beta drivers will help:

    Hi

Is this issue particular to every brand? I was hoping to buy the EVGA FTW 670 but this is putting me off...

Yes, but it's a driver issue.
