New AMD performance drivers (12.7 beta)

AMD is seriously pushing its new 12.7 beta drivers. And from the benchmarks they're looking impressive!

Nice! VCE at last, openCL acceleration for handbrake, zip etc. (and GIMP! yay)

edit: Oo and MS and SSAA in CCC for Diablo 3.. I don't normally skip to beta's, but this has so many things I was looking for...

The tone of the blog is really positive. It sounds like the new development people at AMD want to make the cards something more than just a (usually) cheaper alternative to NVIDIA.

LOL I wonder what settings that is on @ 2560 Anand reports an improvement of < 4%.

edit: Also AMD states it's a comparison with the GPU's original release drivers, while anandtech compares different settings with the (then) current stable drivers.
