    GTX 760 or 280x

Alright, so I'm buying a new computer and I was wondering which Graphics Card I should get. I mostly play games such as Battlefield and Flight Games as well as other FPS such as RO2 Rising Storm.
The two graphics cards I'm debating between are the:
2GB EVGA GTX 760 Superclocked ACX or...
    3GB Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X OC WFORCE
The 760 is about £40 cheaper where I'm looking but I'm sure I could stretch if it does offers noticeable performance increase. The 760 comes with AC4 Black Flag while the 280x comes with BF4.

    Thanks, Will

Of those then I'd definitely go with the 280X - more VRAM for mods, better performance, and much better compute.

Definitely go for the 280x it's a much better card and the extra VRAM really gives it that little bit more power over the 760

From an Nvidia fanboy, I'd still go 280X

    Re: GTX 760 or 280x

I picked up a EVGA 760 Superclocked with my current build. I have had very little issues with it. I got the card for a great deal too so my costs did not go over budget. It is consistently cheaper than the 280x but does lack in cores and has a lower memory interface so those are relevant. Save some money and get the 760 or spend some more for a bit more... I say let the budget decide for this one.

    Re: GTX 760 or 280x

I would out of the two god for the 280x, but as you say it's £40 more so it really is your call. The 760 for the price is a nice card aswell!

    Re: GTX 760 or 280x

The 280x is clearly better in terms of performance, but it also consumes much more energy and costs more... but between the 280x and the770, I would say 770.

    Re: GTX 760 or 280x

    If your gaming,
Go with the 280x because of the mantle built inside it,
It's purely built for things like gaming,
    With the 770,
It would be a tougher decision

Any news yet. What are you gonna do. I had a hard time deciding myself and it was all down to budget for me. I really want to see where you go with it and why .

    Re: GTX 760 or 280x

I had the same choice a few more the ago and went for the 760 due to the 280x have g just come out and I didn't fancy paying a premium for it. It's still a great card.
