Well I've often wondered who is ahead games or graphic cards i.e are the latest games held back by the graphic card or vice versa or maybe monitors need to catch up.
2nd computer gigabyte P965ds3p, 7770 E2140@2.9ghz, corsair HX520 6 years stable, replaced now with E8400@3.9ghz and will overclock more when I'm bored.
I think 'appears' should be in quotation marks, seeing as it didn't actually make an appearance.
The article has one, maybe two facts about AMD's release. First is that there will indeed be something new, AMD have confirmed this. Second is that it'll use a Fiji XT core. The first line of the main body is the only actual fact about a new release, everything else in that article is speculation, information about existing AMD products or a poor photoshop of the 295x2 (it still has the water cooling holes).
WCCF do tend to waffle a lot and overstate the importance of certain rumours so I generally refrain from linking them as a source. TBH I only skimmed over the article when I first posted the link; if I'd read it properly I probably wouldn't have bothered.
Still, AFAIK the card really was at GDC, just not as a product itself.
