no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

Only one problem, no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

AMD Radeon Fury X doesn't have HDMI 2.0 support

no 960/970/980 not support HDMI 2.0

    980ti 30% stronger than -970 and has NO HDMI 2.0 !
960 / 970 not have Really HDMI 2.0 the data bandwidth 8.16 GBPS and no 18 gbps

    look a little history here:
    http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img90/790/6800.png

standard v1.4 out with bandwidth was 5.4GBPS for video and not 10.2 GBPS
    why you ask ?
very simple, very weak card processor .
( to work with 18GBPS you need 1.8 times the power
who going to buy video card that take 800w ?
Video card heat will burn the card )
only when we arrived to 28 NM we get to HDMI 1.4 = 8.16 gbps

so how do you want 18 GBPS?
    in 28 nm card ?

you can't use DP 1.2 IN hdmi 2.0 PORT because there are differences in power DP1.2 300mhz
    hdmi 2.0 600 mhz .

DP 1.3 for 9 months already out and no video card
    why you ask ?
    again weak video card 28NM
only the next generation 16NM we see DP 1.3

If you can not play UHD Bluray or HDR or Netflix with NVIDIA 960/970/980
what HDCP 2.2 it is ?
what hdmi 2.0 it is ?
    you can't have DCI - P3 coloer
    NVIDIA data bandwidth 8.16 GB

no THIS card not have HDMI 2.0
    Without appropriate Chip .
    they not have SiI9777 Chip
    http://www.siliconimage.com/Company/...with_HDCP_2_2/

to speak from video card to screen display or Blu-ray is a need to Chip in any device
the chip need Protocol of the HDMI 2.0
ONLY Silicon Image make that chip for HDMI Organization

nvidia 960/970/980 not have SiI9777 Chip
    no hdcp2.2
    no HDR
    no bandwidth 18GBPS
    no DCI-P3 COLOER ?

this the card 980TI where the SiI9777 Chip ?
    http://www.pcper.com/files/imagecach...VBA9_1_4_l.jpg

yes this very easy to prove
ask in written confirmation from NVIDIA video card that thay have :
    SiI9777 Chip on video card
    hdcp2.2
    HDR
    andwidth 18GBPS
    DCI-P3 COLOER

i try 3 time from nvidia and no reply !
what they have to hide ?

Lacking the available bandwidth to fully support 4K@60Hz until the arrival of HDMI 2.0, the latest crop of 4K TVs such as the Sony XBR 55X900A and Samsung UE40HU6900 have implemented what amounts to a lower image quality mode that allows for a 4K@60Hz signal to fit within HDMI 1.4’s 8.16Gbps bandwidth limit.

Re: no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

    Displayport FTW?

Seriously though I'm not sure what you're asking, if anything? Display controller bandwidth is not bound by board power i.e. implementing HDMI 2 would not take 800W if that's what you're implying?

You can't mix and match HDMI and DP because they use entirely different signalling, not just because of clock speed differences. Getting one type of signal from the other port either requires an active adapter or some circuitry on the device to specifically allow an alternative electrical interface over the physical connector (some Macs do this).

Nvidia and AMD graphics cards have the display controller integrated into the GPU die - they don't use third party integrated circuits for this purpose so you won't see them on the PCB: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/N...front_full.jpg

Re: no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

Looks like 2016 might be the year for 4K/UHD wider adoption anyway.. with AMD's Arctic Islands(14nm) and Nvidia's Pascal(16nm) etc.

Edit: My point being directed at the original post rather than at yours watercooled.

implying or not not have HDMI 2.0

Nvidia and AMD graphics cards have the display controller integrated into the GPU die - they don't use third party integrated
They need Chip for HDMI 2.0 with all protocols
    only siliconimage make them .

It does not change the fact that:

Lacking the available bandwidth to fully support 4K@60Hz until the arrival of HDMI 2.0, the latest crop of 4K TVs such as the Sony XBR 55X900A and Samsung UE40HU6900 have implemented what amounts to a lower image quality mode that allows for a 4K@60Hz signal to fit within HDMI 1.4’s 8.16Gbps bandwidth limit.

Says who? And as I said, AMD and Nvidia do not use or need third-party display controllers as they're integrated into the GPU die. Look at the PCB image I linked, note there's no separate display controller. The SI part you linked is absolutely nothing to do with graphics cards.

The only other place I can find that quote is here, referring to Kepler cards which used chroma subsampling as a workaround to allow 4k60 support with HDMI before v2.0 was available.

However depending on the use this may not be a problem at all as many videos sources use 4:2:0 anyway, so you gain absolutely nothing from transmitting it in 4:4:4. PC use can differ though, but if you want something for PC use, we already have DisplayPort.

as many videos sources use 4:2:0 anyway
    if i have js9000 or 9500 tv
    i need 12 bit 4:2:2

    Sorry no DP1.2 on TV
    i try DP1.2 ON pansonic xa800
Colors are not good, bad movement
Screen 65 " you see a lot of problems

6 years ago graphics cards write up to Screen Size 30 " 24"
why not write this today ? on 4k

He said source - ie the recording and media. Blu-ray for example is 4:2:0.

DisplayPort+ can muliplex it's output lines to be an hdmi port with a simple passive adapter. Quite handy, I have hooked a laptop DP port up to a TV before by going entirely passive connectors DP -> dvi-d -> hdmi -> hdmi cable -> tv which looked pretty funky but even sound worked over it as really it was only doing hdmi at all stages just with different pinouts

Yeah that's what I mean by 'alternative electrical interface', just wasn't sure what the technical term was.

wht are you not vilifying Nvidia the same way??

also - the Maxwell spec page shows HDMI 2 on the 960 and upwards

    http://www.anandtech.com/show/8526/n...x-980-review/5

also you do not need to have HDMI 2 to have HDCP 2.2

Re: no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

To put it another way, all HDCP 2.2 devices will have HDMI 2.0, but not all HDMI 2.0 will have HDCP 2.2. Very few receivers have 2.2 right now.
    http://www.cnet.com/news/hdcp-2-2-wh...-need-to-know/

everything you wrote do not understand, I wrote in this topic why NVIDIA has no real HDMI 2.0 .

    nvidia 960/970/980
    no have SiI9777 Chip
    no hdcp2.2
    no HDR
    no bandwidth 18GBPS
    no DCI-P3 COLOER ?
    no rec 2020...

Nvida fully support HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2 - so your original post is factually incorrect.

Re: no graphics cards with HDMI 2.0 in 2015

Seriously what's with this crusade? Someone spamming about HDMI 2.0 in Youtube comments was also mentioned in a PCPer video I watched the other day, wonder if it was the same person?

You're claiming people 'do not understand' what they're writing, however that applies to yourself. I don't know why you're obsessed with this SiI9777 IC, it has nothing to do with GPUs as I said before, and you won't find it on one, HDMI 2 support or otherwise.

This same post is copy-paste spammed all over forums. E.g. http://www.avsforum.com/forum/166-lc...options-2.html
