No physx is GTX970 card damaged?

I've got an evga GTX970 SSC.
When I first tried it out on driver 353.06 I had all the physx effects on batman arkham origins.
I've installed driver 353.30 and at the same time I got some 3D vision glasses.
I've set them up with stereoscopic 3d, they work fine.
Then I tried out batman again to see what physx looks like in 3D, nothing.
I thought it might have been a conflict.
I uninstalled the 3D vision, still no physx.
Then rolled back the driver to 353.06, still no physx.
I tried a physx test with fluidmark and still nothing.
Could something be broken on the card, framerates are still good, no artifacts.
Any advise on how to get physx working again would be appreciate.
I've set it to GTX970 in the nvidia control panel.
    physx driver 09.15.0428

Uninstall the driver completely - not a rollback, but a complete uninstall. Make sure that it also uninstalls Physx - check Programs and Features in the Control Panel. Re-install your drivers. It should be good again.

Yeah PhysX is just a software thing, it's not a feature which can be broken on the GPU itself. As above, driver issues are the most likely culprit; something like Driver Sweeper may help to clear out old drivers before re-installing.

OK tried a fresh install after taking everything else off and rebooting twice.
    Still no physx.
Glad my card isn't on the fritz, but really confused as to why?
