Will a 750i/360 is decent enough for 1080p gaming?

First of all yes i'm still using a 768p monitor. Next year i might upgrade to a 1080p monitor. the problem is i don't have a GPU right now and by the look of future i don't have enough money to spend on GPU (need to buy SSD+HDD+PSU).

So my question is, are NVIDIA 750ti/AMD 360 will be good enough to run 1080p games in decent framerate. I know this two aren't supposed to run games in high details. but for now? Plus i'm not that hardcore gamer anyways. I play various fighting games and some casual games Like KOF XIII, SF4, GG xrd etc etc. and some RPG stuffs.

I wasn't to interested in these low end card until i saw how good MGSV run on 750ti

    any suggestions are welcome

If you don't mind low to medium detail settings, and you're mostly playing games that are a few years old, and you can live with framerates in the 30s, then yes, they should be OK. If you're getting a small (i.e. < 24") 1080p monitor you can probably get away with no AA, which really helps with performance.

And I can tell you one thing for sure: the performance will be MUCH better than with your Intel integrated graphics. And surely that's the point: you won't be able to game at 1080p with integrated: you will with the discrete card. Makes it a bit of a no-brainer really...

Compared to your integrated graphics, it will fly.

The more you pay the faster you get, but be careful your PSU can handle it. If in doubt, stick to the gtx 750ti as that normally doesn't require PSU connectors.

I think the R9 380 is good value if you shop around, but that needs two 6 pin PCIe connectors to power it.

You'll do fine with those games at 1080p. Worst case scenario you can always split the difference and up-scale from 1600x900; with that sacrifice you should be able to play any game going.

A 750ti/260X/360 isn't a 7750. Try fps in the 30s on medium settings for the most demanding brand new games like The Witcher 3 and high or maximum for everything else.

Re: Will a 750i/360 is decent enough for 1080p gaming?

I might have been being unfair (or more to the point remembering the performance level incorrectly). When the 750 Ti was released Hexus actually benched it at Ultra, High, and Medium settings on Battlefield 4 and Far Cry 3: results here: http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphi...xwell/?page=12

The shift from Ultra to Medium took framerates from the 30s to the 60s

So that's games that are a couple of years old, at medium settings, turning in around 60fps: should make most games playable if you're careful with the settings.

Also, watch what you're saying about the 7750. For a bus powered low profile card, it was fricking amazing! I'm still regretting giving away my rig that had one in...!

well MGSV ran at 50 FPS with little bit of tweaking in 1080p (60 FPS in 900p) with 750ti. Now i know that was a very well optimized game but like i said i will barely play any AAA title except upcoming Street Fighter V and Dark Souls III.

If i got money left to buy a 380 i surely will.

I meant it in a 'compared to the last good budget gaming card, performance has moved on' way.

At 1080p, a 750ti is fine for playing games at high fps or lower fps and more bling.

Just buy one, then buy something faster in 2-3 years time.

However, if you want eye candy (which usually means you're not really a gamer) get something faster.

I own a 750 (not Ti) and it can comfortably run every game I own on medium settings.

TBH I'd be a little nervous having that "Valuetop 500w" power supply in your system, I don't suppose you have any links to where it's available to buy? To me it's a complete unknown and lots of no-name power supplies are disasters waiting to happen, more so when you're powering more stuff with them.

well it's non brand PSU sure but not the cheapest of them all either. I'm running it for over 3 years without giving me any hiccups.
But I'll change it trust me

The SSD is a nice addition but not necessary if you are on a tight budget. I would be aiming for at least a GTX950 or ideally a GTX960 or R9 380.

For sure you will have a great cart at the GTX750TI for a 1080.
It will run about the same as the new 960 serie.

No it won't, sorry, but that's misleading advice. A 960 is much, much quicker. Almost twice as fast.
