Anyone know the warranty on an MSI 260X graphics card?

Black screens like the card is resetting, occasional hangs. Fault follows card.

Seems a bad time to be replacing a graphics card, but there you go.

Thing is, the card is 23 months old but I can't find any reference to the original warranty terms. Going through the Ebuyer web pages they won't accept it back, so I presume they only do 1 year. I just have this feeling it had a 2 or 3 year warranty, but the MSI site is useless.

Card is an MSI R7 260X 2GD5 OC

My thinking is within one year Ebuyer but if you wanted a two or three year then you register with the card manufacturer !
That is what i did with a Sapphire 270X which they did honor a couple of years back
I do that with all my cards i get

Hmm, don't remember registering it. That might suck if it is a condition of the warranty.

I had the MSI GTX 570 and the warranty was 3 years, it is not however 3yrs from the date you purchase it, it is 3 yrs from the date of manufacture which is on the label on the side of the box. Blast them a quick email and see what they require to RMA it back to them, I know back to base is first year only but they may ask for a proof of purchase.

WOW ! ! just checked the warranties link and i was very lucky with sapphire as it only took 9 days to send and get back my card !

It says 3 years in the papers enclosed with my 980 Ti as well, although here in Norway there's a mandatory 5 year warranty on everything that's reasonably expected to last 5 years or more.

Looking promising so far, though I will have to send the card to the Netherlands at my expense it seems. They didn't baulk at the serial number I gave them, waiting for an RMA number now.

I guess that is a problem getting a quiet card with a huge heatsink, it weighs more and might be costly to send.

Yes I had an MSI from Ebuyer and they do give you 1 year BUT MSI give you 3 so you should be OK

Thanks, latest on this is I bought a new graphics card to keep things going, and was given an RMA by MSI for the old 260X but it has to be sent to the Netherlands at my expense.

Update: Replacement card just returned from MSI.

Cost me something like £9.50 to send it, but I sweated for a bit as to whether it was going to get there so a couple of quid more to have signed for delivery might have been wise. Call it 2 weeks round trip including the time to get the RMA raised, not that bad.

Have to find a machine to test it in now.
