Will the incoming RX580 do 1440p?

Will the in coming RX580 be able to game close to 60fps at 1440p at high or ultra? Or will I have to wait for vega or possibly get a 1070?

I have a CPU not far off yours in performance, and this is some modern games I tested with settings ramped up at 1440p:

I have an RX470 and a GTX1080 in there - the RX580 looks like an overclocked RX480 unless OFC Polaris 20 has more shaders than Polaris 10.

Personally I would more inclined to see how Vega performs.

interesting post my cpu not too dissimilar to yours. I guess patients is a virtue waiting for vega! Hmmm now if I can only find a reasonably priced i7 4790k otherwise I might just have to upgrade the whole thing!!!

If had to buy a card now,I personally would not want to get anything slower than a GTX1070 TBH!!

Out of interest what games do you want to run??

Most modern stuff witcher 3, fallout 4, Stellaris. I don't need one now but definitely wait to see what vega produces. My GTX980 sometimes blank screens for a few seconds already replaced under warranty but same issue.
