    R9 280X or 960GTX for 2K screen.

Just wondering which of these two cards would be better for a 2K gaming rig?

4GB NVidia 960 GTX (Can't remember the make)
    or
    Sapphire Vapor-X AMD Radeon R9 280X OC 3GB

    Thanks in advance!

It depends on the games - the R9 280X is actually a bit faster overall but it might hit VRAM limitations quicker. I had a GTX960 4GB myself - it should do OK at 1080p although the R9 380 4GB seems to have the performance edge now.

    Thanks for the reply.

The games I'm playing the most currently are:
    Overwatch
    Player Unknown's Battlegrounds
    Mass Effect Andromeda
    sometimes The Division
I already have access to both these cards, so not looking to purchase a newer one.

    Cheers

The GTX960 will have the edge for games 1 and 3,the R9 280X will have the edge for game 4 from what I have seen and I am not sure about the second game.
