    Audio driver

i dont know what to do anymore with my cousin's laptop coz ive downgraded his laptop from vista to XP then install other drivers it works but not for audio driver ive tryed the official latest driver from realtek and it still don't work

also ive asked the support heres what he told me to do

I see that the notebook is shipped with the High Definition UAA audio and
    modem drivers.

You need to install the UAA driver before installing the audio and modem
    drivers.

    1. Here is the link of the UAA driver:

    ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp3...00/sp32646.exe

Note: Please do not click on the link. Copy and paste the link to the new
    Internet Explorer address bar.

    2. Audio driver:

    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34200.exe

    Audio driver installation istructions:

    1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
    2. Right click on "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" and click
    Update driver.
    3. Select "Install from a list or specific location"
    4. Click Next. Then select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to
    install"
    5. Click Next and then select "Sound, video and game controller" from the
    list.
    6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
    7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp34200 folder and select the .inf (wis30b2a)
file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

install UAA driver then opened up device manager and i dont see no "Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus" is listed in Sound, video and game controllers

tryed reinstall xp with as well

    guys please help

    Thumbs up Re: Audio driver

    Hi,

I think your not installing shoot-able sound driver for your laptop. Try to re search your sound driver based on the laptop model.

    Re: Audio driver

Google is your friend if you can't find the required drivers from the mfr's website.
