I've been having a bit of clear-out and I've found a few old camcorder DVDs I've ripped to HDD, but some of the files are less than ideal;
Firstly, some have been recorded in what I assume is a long-play mode at 15fps which makes them very juddery; does anyone know of a way 'upscaling' them to a higher FPS? Yes, I know you can't get detail from nowhere, but there's a method some '120Hz' TVs use, interpolation, to take a 60Hz input and output at 120Hz. No, its not perfect, but it should make a difference here at least.
The other problem, is a few discs seem to have somehow interlaced two videos, i.e. first clip plays for 10s or so, then the other for 10s, and so on. I've no idea why it's stored like that but it remains even if I extract the video file from the disc. AFAIK the video is transport stream so I assume it would be trivial, in theory, to separate the two, just I don't know of any software to do it?
Many Thanks.
