Hi Guys,
Could use some input. We have a client who needs to transfer a file daily via FTP. They don't tend to like spending money, so we had been using Filezilla in conjunction with Windows XP Task Scheduler to run the FTP and then move the local file to an archive.
However, about a month or two ago the automated process broke down due to a password change, and despite getting things re-set I can't for the life of me getting working properly again. There are actually two locations uploading daily, to the same server, using the exact same, copied scripting (folder set-up etc.) and one of them runs fine, but the other will not do it by itself. If you open Filezilla and run the transfer it's fine. You can even right-click run the scheduled event and it will work. Leave it over-night though and it will move the file to the archive (so the script is running), but the file will not actually transfer.
So, short of fixing whatever the mystery problem is, I was wondering if there is an alternative ftp program with built in scheduling that can do the same task without the two-step process?
Anyone have any recommendations?
Cheers.
