    Samsung 840 SSD issues.

    Firstly, hello!

Secondly I've recently been having problems with my 128gb Samsung 840 SSD boot drive. It didn't start playing up until earlier this week but now when I reboot it just isn't detected until I fiddle with the cables a bit, swap them around and generally tinker until it decides to work again. Then it works absolutely fine once booted (not like my awful OCZ Agility 3 which randomly disconnected itself)

Has anybody heard of anything like this happening or a possible fix?

Have you tried using a different SATA cable, and/or, SATA motherboard connector?

Tried both of those while tinkering. Didn't really make a difference.

What worked last night was plugging back in the OCZ Agility 3 drive (I had it unplugged because it kept giving me Windows format prompts).

I can't think why having the OCZ drive plugged in would affect the Samsung drive...presumably you've got the Samsung first in the boot order in the bios?

When the Samsung drive is recognised by the bios, what does the Magician utility report about the condition of the drive?
