Computer not showing a display after trying to plug in Corsair H80i to motherboard?

So I turned off the computer, plugged the USB into both the motherboard and the CPU block and now the computer won't show a display once the Windows logo has finished showing. Just black, and my monitor says 'No signal detected'. Only since I tried plugging in the H80i. Honestly this cooler has been nothing but trouble - it's completely corrupted a windows installation before when the firmware installer crashed half way through and caused a blue screen and I then couldn't get windows to turn on.

    Any ideas folks?

Re: Computer not showing a display after trying to plug in Corsair H80i to motherboar

I turned on my computer about half an hour and it's now working fine (H80i USB unplugged), so I plugged everything in again after uninstalling the corsair link software and it's working 100%. I was intending to do the LED fix, and have just done so, so hopefully my fans won't be stuck at 80% (I set it to go to 80% when trying to overclock my 3470, which can be done a little bit, and for a few months the fans would jump to 80% speed when going over 50 degrees).

So if anyone has a similar issue, I can't tell you how I fixed it.

Re: Computer not showing a display after trying to plug in Corsair H80i to motherboar

    Update:

Computer has been behaving erratically. When windows first boots, if I launch something demanding like steam, for example, the computer freezes and I get a black screen. It then doesn't work when I reboot (same as above) and I have to leave the computer for a while and then try again.

Normally it's pretty simple to diagnose and issue like this, but I have no idea. At first I thought monitor, after trying my laptop I concluded it's not.

I thought it was the graphics card, but if it was then why would it crash when starting up an app?

Now between HDD, CPU and Motherboard.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried taking out one of your RAM modules?

The other thing to try is windows generic VGA drivers - might be a graphics card driver issue as the screen goes black.
