The chip packages are completely different, so the short answer is no.
Back when s775 came out it was possible to get some converters to run s478 chips in s775 motherboards, but I can't find anything that would let you do that with a mobile G2 chip. It might be theoretically possible if you were a damn good engineer with access to a decent lab/workshop, but otherwise it's not going to happen.

Besides, a laptop i5 is dual core 4 threads, what in desktop land we would call an i3. So you wouldn't want one really.
I've seen some mobos a loooong time ago which had sockets for some laptop cpu's but I don't think that stuff exists anymore...
