Windows 10 tech preview expiration - fix

    Hi All,
I installed Windows 10 tech preview a LONG time ago on my iMac. I've just fired it up and it says it's expired. I've booted with a legit copy of Win10 Enterprise and done:

Troubleshoot->Advanced->Startup Repair and it claims that it can't be auto repaired.

Worst case I can blow away the partition and reinstall, but that would be a bit painful. Is there a quick and dirty fix to get Win10 Enterprise shoehorned on over the top of Tech Preview?

    VERY long shot:

    From an elevated command prompt:

    slmgr /cpky

    slmgr /ipk <your enterprise product key>

Else, the only way will probably be to get windows tp running to the point where it will let you run the new installer.....but to upgrade you have to run setup from within the install of windows you want to upgrade. There are no upgrades by booting from the install media.

How can an Enterprise copy of Windows 10 be legit? Is the PC a corporate owned device joined to an Active Directory domain?

    Why is this your concern?

Eh? You are aware that it's possible to buy Win 10 Enterprise right? Depends what you mean by corporate, I'm a freelance consultant so technically, yeah, I suppose so. It's not connected to an Active Directory domain as I don't need one at the moment.

Re: Windows 10 tech preview expiration - fix

Thanks for the suggestion Shaithis. In the end I gave up as it kept complaining about mix and matching MBR and GPT, and blew it away and installed Win 7 Ultimate instead. I guess it doesn't really matter as I'm only doing a bit of Visio and occasional Steam stuff....
