    Folder Structure for Software Repository

I have been tasked with sorting out our software repo at work and I keep flip flopping between how to organise it. Does anyone know of any online resources which have pre-made structures for this sort of thing?

It would be nice to make use of someone else's headache.

Also is there any software for mind mapping this and being able to export it to a folder structure in a Windows environment? At the moment its create a txt file or use Excel.

Software repo as in collection of software installers, or as in source code to make software?

The latter should have various conventions depending on the language and build tools.

Don't know about the rest of your question, but a list in Excel can easily become a batch file to create the folder structure.
For example if A contains the main folder, B the subfolder, then C can use a formula like
    =
    Code:
    "md D:\" & A2 & "\" &B2
to give you something like that:

Then in the end you copy all of the C column and create a batch file from it.
