    R9 295X2 - Crossfire Issue

    Hi Guys

Been battling with this one all weekend. For some reason I can't get crossfire to work anymore on my R9 295X2.

It just stopped working. I had this a couple of months ago when I installed a new driver. I managed to fix that by completing scrubbing the driver and re installing the previous driver where it was working and it came back, until now.

So without changing gfx driver version it just stopped so tried totally removing the driver and re installing it but with no joy. Then downloaded the latest driver and again cleaned the driver off the computer and installed the latest with no luck. (When I say cleaned the driver off the computer I mean all files and registry entries).

Spent a lot of the weekend looking for similar issues and didn't find any solutions that helped. Most that reported this were told to go to the Global Settings tab in Gaming and click the enable crossfire option which when I go there on my system there is no option.

No issues are being reported by Device Manager for either GPU and mobo is on latest BIOS and all drivers are up to date for everything.

Pictures attached to show what I mean, any help very much appreciated. (First world problems I know!)

    Re: R9 295X2 - Crossfire Issue

Update: just for completeness, I did eventually manage to fix the issue and (touch wood) it is still working to this day.

After having to go back to a year old driver and then working backwards from there it got to the point that no driver made Crossfire work.

I tried it in several PCI-E slots, tried different power supply cables, a different power supply and doing a Windows reset but non of those fixed it.

In the end out of desperation I did a full wipe and fresh windows install and happily it worked and with the latest drivers and has been solid since.
