I can't view my profile or others

I've recently signed up to Hexus, I received the activation E-Mail, clicked the link to activate my account however I can't see my profile or others and I get these messages. Not sure if it is just because the account is really new with a low post count but I'd like to be able to change some of my settings.

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I just registered and wondered about this myself. It's a bit odd and breaks the user control panel. But if spammers were abusing it to post links or something then I guess it makes sense.

We Mods and Admins (mainly me recently as I work here 100%) have to go through reams of new posts daily and authorise them or kick them to death and bury them in the carpark, according to

# traffic prior to arrival at work and if I someone had fog lights on in the rain
# nearly anything else I can blame.


so what occurs in a few cases is that you don't go "public" until I authorise it. Not everyone's caught in the spam trap, but a fair few are. That can and does sometimes effect the control panel, which is a pain.

I registered the other day and have had this same issue and all of my posts are awaiting review, do I just need to wait a little longer until it gets approved?
