Adding memory to sim 2000 laptop

I bought one of those little Medion SIM 2000 laptops (from Ady who frequents these forums). Its absolutely brilliant but needs more memory.

I found an archived thread which includes some instructions and photos showing how to get the laptop apart so that memory can be added:

However, even with this guide I can't see how to get the keyboard up so that I can access the memory slots below.

Can anyone help?

Anyone got any advice on how to lift up the keyboard without breaking it?

On my old toshiba there was a strip above the keyboard that lifted then slid out so that the keyboard could then be lifted out to install the memory. Hope this helps.
