    Windows XP Pro Wont Boot Up

    i made this new computer the other day, i installed windows XP pro and its been working fine for about 3 hours i went to install a game and it came up with a error msg saying "windows has been shut down to pervent damage to your computer if this is the first time uve seen this msg restart" bah bah bah can anyone help me

    Could it be a heat issuse? Check you cpu temps when at 100% for some time. Reseat you hsf, clean off TIM reaply then reseat.

    Ive checked temps on cpu its running at 45deg - 50deg on load

    This seems quite high for a venice most seem to run around 30 C to max 40 C underload.
