| Black Screen Problem Hi Just signed up for virgin broadband. Got the set up box today but when running the set up disc my screen went black as though the graphics card had switched off. I tried several times but with no luck. I removed the virgin set up from the comp and screen back running perfectly. Has anyone experienced this problem because I have never come across it before |

| Re: Black Screen Problem Do you have an ATI GPU ? There have been some issues with the drivers on some ATI cards causing a black screen. Google has a few threads on it and the first fix I saw was this one. http://www.vgaforum.com/showthread.php?t=11887 Updated - appraently the issue was mostly resolved by CCC 9.7 Is you new service trying to use an earlier driver ? | Re: Black Screen Problem Hi The card is an ATI Radeon X 1550 I will check for updates and let you know. At present the screen may go off three times when comp switched on but then stays on all day with no problem. Its weird!!!! |
