Where can I get a 5 point Torx screwdriver?

I am after a 5 point Torx T20 Tamperproof screwdriver so I can open up a Seagate external drive.

Does anyone know where I can get one from? I can see to get 6 point ones, but not the 5 point ones.

    Cheers

    Phil

Screwfix do a security bit set, which may have something suitable.

Googling also found some other links - of varying helpfulness (although I didn't explore many)

you can quite often just use a small flatblade screwdriver that fits between 2 of the points - be careful though!

Get yourself on ebay and buy yourself a couple of sets of torx drivers. You'll get them in from the UK based hong-kong suppliers for about a fiver. Couple because they'll soon wear out, and it wont matter if you're using Snap-On or Kim-Jong-Cheap'n-Cheeful Brand, if they get used, they'll wear

Bit set might be the best bet actually.

Go to your local fasteners and fixings suppliers, most of them will probably either let you have one or charge you 20p or something

I'm pretty sure that Screwfix kit had a T20. I've got the one that comes in a little green plastic holder, and if I can find which toolbox it's in, I'll check. And when I got mine, it was about £4 for the set.

Most of them seem to be 6 point though, actually getting a 5 point one seems pretty tough. Think they might be called Torx Plus.

Just grab a flat blade, break the security pin, and then use an appropriate sized flat blade to undo the screw...

The screwfix set I linked to (and referred to by Saracen) contains 5 point bits.

Yes, but those are the ones with the security pin in, not the five point version.

But the OP was referring to the 5 point version (not strictly torx, which I think is a brand name) but torx-like, not torx plus which (as Gonz0 says) has the central pin.

I think what I need is a Torx Plus Tamperproof screwdriver as seen here:

    http://www.primetools.co.uk/getinfo.php?product=15410

Costs £6.70 but with VAT and postage it's nearer £15. Think I'll shop around for something cheaper seeing as I'll only need to use it once!
