Hi everyone, i recently bought a new graphics card (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/175978) and im using it on a 20" dell monitor (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/20-De...ms-LCD-Monitor) however now the pixels are not as smooth as they were on my old GPU (which died). I am using a 1280x720 resolution because when i use a 1600x900 resolution everything is very small :S. So i have tried a few things but i cant come to a solution. The desktop icons arent very smooth either. In fact nothing is as smooth as it should be. Could anyone help me out here? Thank You! Kind Regards Valvo Valvo.

Re: Blury Screen Is there an Auto-Config or simalir button on your monitor? When my monitor sometimes goes blurry after messing with refresh rates and resolution this usually does the trick.

Re: Blury Screen Really just to confirm the 2 other posts, I checked the link and its a D-Sub/VGA connection, so like Terb says, you may need to find some 'auto sync' button which realigns everything. A symptom of this being the problem is that the screen doesnt totally fit within the screen (ie. Its a pixel or two to the left) and the auto synch should bring it back. However, like spoon says, you are changing from 1600x900 to 1280x720 and ond LCDs, this means that there is going to be some form of scaling going on, hence the blurriness. Thats just how LCD tech works. Just as a test, put it back onto 1600x900 and see if everything is clear and sharp. If it is, then its just a scaling problem I'm afraid. If its still not clear, look for the auto sync option somewhere and see what effect that has. Unfortunately, I there isnt much choice in the matter, short of changing the DPI, which will make things 'bigger' whilst still using the native resolution (ie. 1600x900). However, I've never been a fan of this to be honest, as I think it throws things out of proportion, but you could look into it. JP
