WEIRD networking problem! help! Right, so heres my setup. One usb wireless dongle - Linked to router, for internet access etc One onboard NIC - Linked to xbox for streaming media etc. I can use each connection fine on its own. However when I try and use the wireless connection then enable the lan connection I can no longer see any websites (everything http inc msger dies) , I can still access the router though. I think it must be the onboard nic putting itself infront of the wireless connection for http stuff , any ideas how I can stop it acting in this manner, I simply want a connection no other stuff to the xbox.

Start > control panel > network connections > You can either delete the bridge from here or right click on a connection and there should be something like "unbridge" or "remove from bridge". Hope this helps.

Set the default gateway on the wireless NIC to be the router, and make sure there is no default gateway on the wired NIC? ~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~ [ Personal Website ] - [ Technet Blog ] Main PC: Win7 x64 / Asus P6T Deluxe / Core i7 920 / 12GB DDR3 / 120GB SSD / GeForce GTX285 Server: W2K8 R2 / Asus P5K Premium / Core2 E6750 / 8GB DDR2 / 150GB, 500GB SATA2 / GeForce 9800GTX HTPC: Win7 x64 / Asus P5E-VM HDMI / Core2 E6850 / 4GB DDR2 / 400GB SATA2 / ATI 3650 Silent
