| Want advice on buying a colour laser printer Would appreciate some advice. Am buying for my mum who runs a small business. She currently has a HP PSC 2355 all-in-one colour inkjet printer, that as the name suggests scans, copies, prints and reads memory cards. She now wants to get a laser printer that does (if possible) these features. Looking in PC World ( ), Staples, as well as on-line, it doesnt look like I can do exactly all that. Am quite prepared to not have the memory card reader as I can use an old one, but the less all-in-one features, the more hassle. (If it were me, i'd get a seperate scanner and printer, but my mum won't understand how it all connects). My mum is not technically literate, so the easier the better. I nearly bought the HP 3030, but it's not colour. Any suggestions? Would prefer HP but it's not 100% required, quite happy with Samsung, or any major brand. Budget is around £500, less would be great although I can't find any under silly money (ie some thousands of pounds). Thanks System as shown, plus: Akasa 965 HSF. Griffin Powermate that pulsates blue! Solid oak computer desk. Diamondback Razor. Logitech media keyboard. Western Dig HD Media Player. An AC-S1 R2 on the 3870. Netgear DG834N router. Acer Aspire One netbook. Creative I-Trigue 3450 driven by an Audigy 2. External 160GB and 500GB hard drives. 1 happy me. 1 not so happy me's wife. My Hexus Trust |

| The HP 91x0 range seems to suit those needs quite well, they have various models depending on what you're after.. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...Thumbnails=yes 9110: Base model 9120: Base model plus 250-sheet input tray for a 400-sheet input capacity and an HP Jetdirect 620n Fast Ethernet internal EIO print server 9130: Base model plus 250-sheet input tray for a 400-sheet input capacity, HP Jetdirect 620n Fast Ethernet internal EIO print server, and keyboard (enables efficient digital sending) Edit: except they look like inkjets now I look again, woops ![]() In that budget, the HP LaserJet (read: laser this time ) 2800 seems to be closest to your budget Last edited by Tobeman; 29-03-2006 at 05:11 PM.. |
