If you EVER get the chance.....

.....to rip EVERYTHING out of a car, and drive it EMPTY...do it

Forget performance mods, and suspension kits....

    just GUT THE CAR.

What a way to get a car to perform and handle...not just light weight...

FEATHER WEIGHT.....rear seats, carpets, headlining, all the speakers, wiring, plastic uprights around screens, glove box, all the sound proofing, spare wheel, sound deadening, door cards, parcel shelf supports....aerial, coax, stereo, sill kick plates....EVERYTHING.

    THERES LOADS...and HOW FAST

If you EVER get the chance....try it

I'm thinking of taking the boot lining out of my MR2, I'd get more space as well as less weight and a closer to 50-50 balance. I don't think the Missus would approve of the full stripdown though

Or take it one step further and replace doors, bonnet and boot with Kevlar/Fiberglass items - and then replace any steel left with alloy panels
I think its going to be loud, smelly and hot - but I dont care for this one..... hell its not a daily driver

The only thing in my car is the plastic coverings around the doors, else it wouldn't be very stealthy. The rest has gone.

custom wiring loom saves quite a bit of weight on some cars, there's a r5 gtt with one somewhere apparently when all the old electrics were taken out you couldn't lift em all together :/
