Cool Guess What I Didn't Do Today??????

Took my driving test again today!!!!!

It was a pass!!! 6 minors! so chuffed!!! thought i'd stuffed it on my tir because I hit the kerb!

Didn't hear him at the end of the test, he said "You've passed" he was so softly spoken...I was thinking about booking again, when it registered, and I said "Excuse Me!" he said it again! "well done you've passed" I started to cry as us Girlies do, and he told me I had 6 minors There was a Guy who had a test the same time and he failed felt quite bad for him as it's not nice when you've failed and the person next to you has passed.

Rang Jon and said "Guess what I didn't do today?" could hear the disappointment in his voice as he said "Awwww babe!" hehe I asked again "Guess what I didn't do today?" it registered then and i think he was happy by the shouting and laughing I could hear and he bought me home a lovely bottle of red

Agent - if you've been riding for a while its a doddle, passed in 25 hours. Would have passed in 18 but failed my first test (silly things).

Thanks everyone! still can't stop smiling!

Really thought i'd failed, driving back to the test centre there was an Arctic Wagon parked on the right, so i'm behind a 4X4 which drives through, I know I have priority but also know I shouldn't assume it! so I slow down before making the decision to carry on driving! just as I do a Van hurtles past the Arctic and is coming towards me on my side of the road.... I slam the brakes on and think '****! that's done it!' anyway Examiner is muttering bloody idiot! say nothing and carry on after the Van has reversed, get back to test centre and Examiner gives his verdict an when i've composed myself I say that i'd thought i'd failed, he asked why so I said about hitting the kerb on my turn in road, he says you touched it not hit it there's a difference... fair enough, then I say about the Arctic! he said "no you did everything i'd of expected you to do, you took priority then you saw a hazard and reacted to that hazard. it was a tricky situation and you dealt with it well" then he added... I was calling the Van Man a bloody idiot not you ahhhh I say! coool!

    Yay! go you.

I failed in the first five mins on my first for mistaking the bump of a deep drain for a kerb and reversing in the middle of a road (oops). Second, I had a the senior tester and another in looking at what they would fail people for that month (no way I was ever getting out of that one). Third time the trick, I was relatively relaxed which made all the difference.

Anyways enjoy your new freedom and get a car as soon as possible as the learning process is still on going.

Thanks This test ( 5th or 4+1 ) was a free one off the DSA... I had a puncture on my last test, 10 minutes from the end, I only had to get back to the test centre and bay park, 4 minors up until then

I was driving down this really narrow road and a bus was coming towards me, so I slowed got ready to stop as the Bus was taking up loads of room, then heard a bang, let the Car roll to a stop and Examiner says yep, tyres blew. 3rd test I got a new Examiner, right stickler and very jumpy... lots of complaints about him last year because his thing is dual People, he didn't dual me but failed me when after driving down a road with Cars parked on the left for not giving priority to a Car that had already stopped and was letting me through
( he was working yesterday but took the Guy next to me out )... 2nd test was road positioning and 1st test was for speeding.

Got a Car it needs MOT,tax and insurance... i'm in no rush, People seem to think that I can't wait to get out on the road but tbh i'm not that bothered, just happy to have a piece of paper tha says I can even if it was reay I was in no fit state to drive it yesterday

Your right about the nerves, each test before i'd been so organised, up early etc etc... this test I was out of bed at 8.15 my ADI was picking me up at half past! so there wasn't time to mess about by the time i'd washed etc hardly had time to brush my hair and as for a first morning cup of tea! forget it! no time, didn't think about how i felt or let nerves get to me and when I was sat in the test centre it just felt nice to have a few minutes break

Heh, yeah, hitting the brakes because of someone else's stupidity isn't your fault It shows you can react well, etc instead of just keep going with your eyes closed

    Congratulations Shelley
I like to posts about people passing their driving test as I try to imagine the feeling of relief/elation.
You see when I passed mine(many years ago) it was in an army land rover and there were no congratulations.
I got out the landie after I passed and before it had time to sink in I was grabbed by the duty sergeant who told me they were a duty driver short.
I was told to sign out a minibus and I would be chauffeuring senior ranks to and from a regimental pissup.
Just glad they were so drunk they could not see how terrified I was.
